Wahkiakum County has received an allotment of Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines

Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services is prioritizing county residents over the age of 75 to receive vaccinations from a limited initial allotment of the Moderna brand COVID-19 vaccine. The health department is uncertain how many more doses and how soon the county will receive them.

Wahkiakum county residents age 75 and older are invited to call 360-849-4041 to be placed on a list. Please use this phone number only if you are 75 and older and would like to receive the vaccine. The number is available 8am to 430pm Monday through Friday. The number will not be available on the new year’s holiday Friday January 1st.

The health department is also asking that any interested home healthcare workers, in Wahkiakum, to call and schedule an appointment for vaccination. As WCHHS receives more doses the list will be expanded following appropriate guidance.

At this time Wahkiakum Health and Human Services has not been notified of how many or how vaccines will be received. Vaccinations will be made available as quickly as is possible.
