The Ten Fifteen Theater
The Ten Fifteen Theater, located at 1015 Commercial Street in Astoria will be presenting “The Weir”, a haunting drama, written by Conor McPherson, who masterfully creates a quietly shimmering tale about the thin membrane between life and death. Set in the interior of a pub in a small Irish town, the play begins with the usual banter and gossip between three men, the proprietor Brendan, and 2 regulars Jack and Jim. When a former pub regular arrives with a newcomer, Valerie, who recently purchased a home nearby, the storytelling begins. The stories told are magical, describing brushes with the supernatural, where the line between truth and imagination is as mysterious as the darkness of the rural night. Directed by Karen Bain and starring Rick Gray, Mick Alderman, Nancy Montgomery, Bennet Hunter and Simon Caron
Featuring a performance of live Irish Music by Nate Crockett, Daric Moore and Julian Gingerich.
PLEASE NOTE: This play contains strong language and adult themes. It is not suitable for children.
