Classical Pianist Performs in Cannon Beach

“Rising Star” Baron Fenwick, classical pianist will perform Haydn, Rachmaninov, Chopin, and Prokofiev, on Friday, Feb. 21st, 7pm, at Cannon Beach Community Church, located at 132 E. Washington St. in downtown Cannon Beach. This concert is free and open to the public, hosted by Portland Piano International and Community Church in Cannon Beach. Baron was winner of the 2018 Mannes Concerto Competition in New York City. In 2017 he was a laureate of the Ravel Prix at the historic Fontainebleau Conservatoire, and in summer 2016 he received first prizes in competitions at two major music festivals. Baron regularly performs around the world, and the 2018 season brought him to recitals in Beijing, China; New York, NY; Chatham, MA; among other cities. David Lowry of the Columbia Free-Times describes his piano performance: “His driving rhythm, virtuosic technique, musical treatment and careful attention to the ensemble were all stunning. Put two or three more years on this young man, and we might well have a major star.”
