This weekend(November 9-11) the Industrial Workers of the World will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of events in Centralia WA, when an Armistice Day attack on their union hall resulted in several deaths, including the lynching of one of their members.
Events will take place at the the Centralia Train Depot, 210 Railroad Ave, Saturday through Monday and will include a talk by Tom Copeland, author of the book ‘The Centralia Tragedy of 1919’, presentations on the philosophy and current organizing activities of the IWW, as well as movies,a poetry slam and a concert on Sunday evening featuring Linda Allen and others.
