An informal campfire conversation between Sou’wester ARTS WEEK participants and local community members discussing creativity, art-making, queerness, and spiritual practice in rural communities. What does it mean to be an artist working outside the city? What are the pleasures and the setbacks? How can we stick together and encourage more creativity outside urban centers? How can we be active and responsible community members as visitors and residents? We’ll finish the discussion with a short drawing/writing activation which will later culminate into a small zine. Please join us if you feel the call, you are most welcome.
