Dave Nelson is a native Astorian. He has always had a like for the media, since he and his cousin had a
pretend TV station in their grandparent's basement. Dave's first real taste of the media was calling in daily
local weather reports for KOMO TV 4 in Seattle. Dave has also had the opportunity to work with Oregon
Public Broadcasting radio and in the Consumer Department of KATU 2 Portland, but his favorite has to be
Coast Community Radio.

In case you didn't know, Dave is a big Portland Trail Blazers fan.

Dave especially likes to help out places where he might be needed.

Dave was awarded the coveted Volunteer of the Year award in November 2008.
