The Hideout, Thursdays from 11:00pm-1:00am Friday morning, on KMUN and KTCB.

Ryan Murphey began DJing at the age of five. At the time, his audience consisted mostly
(entirely) of his parents and his friend Devon from across the street, and the only album
he owned was Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall.” From these humble beginnings, he
developed a passion for sharing music with others and making them listen to him talk
between songs.
At the University of Oregon, this passion was brought to fruition at KWVA campus radio,
where he was a DJ for four years and the music director for one. After relocating to
Astoria, he discovered KMUN and immediately wanted to be a part of it. For some
reason, he was given a show.
