Writing Alive! offers writing workshops grounded in The Amherst Method, an approach to writing that celebrates the voices of all who wish to write. We offer a weekly workshop on the telephone, meeting on Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The phone workshpps are limited to 4 writers with the opportunity to sign up as a back-up writer who will write in the event of planned absences. Two or three prompts are offered each week; all feedback emphasizes what is effective and memorable in the writing, what works, what stays with the listeners. Writers have the opportunity to read after every prompt or may choose to pass. All writers of memoir, short story, the novel, poetry, essays and creative non-fiction are welcome to enroll.
Dates: Wed., April 18 to Wed., May 30 (6 weeks).
Cost: $150 f0r 6 weeks (April 18 to May 30; no meeting on May 9)
