This project-based, learn-by-doing course covers the complete process of grant proposal development: identification of an achievable and fundable
project concept; research and assessment of viable funding sources; all the elements of effective proposal writing; budget development; preparation
of a full proposal package for submission; post submission process – award or rejection, and follow-up with funders. The course not only focuses on
the practical structure of proposals, but also on the theory of change and topics such as project sustainability and evaluation. Participants will also
gain an understanding of the nonprofit philanthropic environment and become familiar with the tools and resources available to assist them as they seek funds for their projects, organizations, or causes. Come prepared with an idea or project that needs funding.
