State Route 4, Skamokawa, WA. Nature Writer to Novelist: Robert Michael Pyle—We are excited to welcome award-winning naturalist Robert Michael Pyle for this reading of his long-awaited and greatly celebrated novel Magdalena Mountain. Robert Michael Pyle is the author of many nature books, including Wintergreen, Where Bigfoot Walks, and Sky Time in Gray’s River. His first foray into fiction tells the story of three Magdalenas: Mary, a woman on an uncertain journey, Magdalena Mountain, shrouded in mystery and menace, and the elusive, all-black Magdalena alpine butterfly, one of the rarest and most beautiful species found on the mountain.
