Class begins with a gentle physical warm-up that integrates action, awareness, feeling, and form. We add timing, breath, spacial arrangements, and energy to create phrases of movement that come to rest. Students will learn to engage physical expression and invent physical poetry as they practice solos, duets, ensembles. The training reinforces our “everyday dance,” heightens our experience of how we move and interact and express naturally, in ordinary life, how we energize any situation through “dance mind.” The movement becomes our meditation.
