A beautiful farm to fiber workshop with natural dye and fiber artists Kyla Sjogren, Iris Sullivan Daire, and Brittany Boles. Join us for a local color experience unlike any other! You’ll harvest farm fresh indigo, learn about pigment extraction, play musical vats with different recipes, and experience the North Coast vat, with exclusively local ingredients. You’ll go home with beautiful blue fibers, the experience to make your own indigo pigment vats, and fresh indigo cuttings to plant in your home garden.
•Harvest fresh indigo leaf for seafoam blues and greens on silk and wool.
•Dip into exclusively local indigo: the North Coast Vat (with kiln-fired oyster shells, wild cherries, and indigo pigment grown and extracted on the farm).
•Explore pigment extraction methods for coaxing deep blue indigo pigment from this incredible green plant.
•Sip farm fresh herbal tea blends, amaranth pink lemonade, and enjoy tea popcicles in the dye & herb garden.
•Experience a rare and exquisite color from fermeted indigo leaves: Purple! (Indirubin)
Ticket includes all indigo vat supplies, all fabric(including silk, cotton, local angora, and wool), indigo starts to take home, refreshment, and hands-on instruction.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You’ll receive an e-mail with detailed address and parking information upon registration.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring a sack lunch. Dress comforatably for a day on the farm. Wear shoes/clothing that can get dyed and dirty. Sunscreen, hat, water bottle, and apron recommended.
